Celebrate Card Duo

Celebrate Card duo

As I am still very much in love with the Birthday Bouquet Designer Series Paper, I decided to use it to make these fun cards, coupled with the Party With Cake Stamp Set. The only difficulty that I had was to decide which coloured card to use with it, Mint Macaron or Blushing Bride? That is how I ended up making two cards, I just couldn’t make my mind up!

So, if you would like to recreate these cute cards for yourself you will need the following;

Birthday Bouquet Teacup

Birthday Bouquet DSP Teacup

I have really been enjoying using the Birthday Bouquet Designer Series Paper. It is so pretty and the designs make it so versatile, but my favourite project with it so far has been to create this pretty teacup. There are so many uses for this, a decoration for a party or wedding, a favour holder or fill with sweets to make a cute gift for Mothers Day.

The first thing I did was download the teacup template from Red Ted Arts. You will need to sign up for their newsletter to get the template, but I feel that it is worth it. Click on the link to go to their blog post;

Birthday Bouquet Teacup construction

There is a video on their blog which shows you how to construct the teacup, I used Tear & Tape Adhesive and Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue to construct mine. If you are going to use card though, I would recommend using a glue gun as per the tutorial.

These would look so pretty as decorations or party favours. Links to the materials that I used are below;

This Year I Will Send More Cards

Thank you cards

We are just over a week into the New Year and I am sure that I am not alone in making New Years Resolutions. However, this year I have resolved to do something a little bit different. This year I have resolved to send more cards. Birthday cards, Easter Cards, Thank you cards, Christmas cards and cards just because I can.

It is always so lovely to receive a card and especially nice to receive one that has been hand made. That someone has put in the effort not just to send you a card, but to make one just for you. With so many articles in the media recently about loneliness, I feel that it is important to make the effort to let my friends and family know that I care.

This weekend my daughter and I took some time to make some little thank you cards to send out to friends and family for making our Christmas so special. We even made cute little coordinating envelopes, which look so cute stacked up.
